
Revenue leakage is still a multi-million dollar Telecoms issue and BluGem successfully implemented another TCG system working with a US business partner to secure a major operator in Belize. In 2009 a find of 89,000 UK Pounds of revenue leakage per day was discovered when a Blugem test file identified that 6% of network billing CDRs were missing. After investigation by the operator the CDRs were created at the switch but an error in a planned billing outage caused over 700,000 of unbilled records per day. If the losses went undetected for a period of 1 month the leakage would have risen to approximately 2.49 million pounds per month. This detected billing error proves the value of Blugem's TCG solution and has provided the operator with a substantial ROI.
Sri Lanka mobile operator Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Private) Limited (HTLL) signed a 3-year deal with Blugem to provide Test Call Generator RA services in September 2009. HTLL is one of the fastest growing operators in Sri Lanka with an established range of value-for-money prepaid services. After a successful Proof of Concept test, Blugem secured the contract to test data completeness, metering accuracy and rating verification for HTLL.
Blugem secure an extended RA service from the UK mobile operator 3 to not only include the existing Ofcom metering and billing regulation service, but also to cover metering accuracy and data completeness testing for 3's interconnect data. Blugem now reconcile and test 3's retail billing and interconnect data in one integrated system, enabling 3 to efficiently utilise test call generator units deployed throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Blugem sign a long term Managed Service deal with the UK mobile operator 3, to provide independent testing for Ofcom metering and billing regulation, and RA leakage reports. Blugem has deployed several GSM test units throughout the UK to provide 3 with independent CDR reconciliation and rating to assist with Ofcom accreditation. 3 selected Blugem after a successful trial where Blugem demonstrated high call volumes, with accurate metering and billing results.
Jersey Telecom sign a three year deal with Blugem to provide a wide range of RA testing services including Video calls and content testing. Previously Jersey Telecom were using a competitor's solution but Blugem won the contract after proving the system to be more versatile and scaleable, which fitted Jersey's requirements perfectly.
Blugem improve their test call generation system by launching a new Fixed line test unit for analogue call testing, and Video calls for 3G testing.
Blugem successfully deploy their first 2.5G \ 3G solution to Globe Telecoms in the Philippines. The Blugem RA system is now capable of testing the latest network call scenarios including MMS, Web browsing and file downloads.
The Philippines mobile operator Globe Telecoms signs with Blugem to provide Revenue and service assurance call testing. The Philippines are the World's most avid SMS nation sending more messages than all the SMS volumes of European countries, America, and China combined. Blugem were awarded the contract after demonstrating very high SMS and Voice call volumes and a system that provided both value and future scalability.
